TITLE: Assistant Security Services Manager (Overnight Onsite)

REPORTS TO: Security Services Manager

SCOPE: Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of overnight Security and Traffic Control operations at Moscone Center. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment at the Moscone Center, ensuring the safety of all individuals and assets within the facility. This position requires a dedicated individual with strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize security needs effectively.

SALARY: $65K - $75K

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Security Services Manager with the overnight operations of Traffic Control and In-House Security, ensuring that security operations run smoothly and effectively.

  • In conjunction with Human Resources, assist in recruitment, selection, and orientation of employees.

  • Responsible for scheduling and replacing employees for each shift for all department functions as needed.

  • Conduct shift briefings to communicate important information and ensure alignment among team members. Ensure that all security personnel on shift complete their assigned work.

  • Provide timely feedback and initiate necessary counseling or disciplinary actions for security personnel.

  • Review department checklists and ensure all equipment is accounted for and in working order.

  • Review event schedules with all operational departments to assure compliance with event status.

  • Interface with contract security companies and law enforcement as needed to assure ongoing coordination during events.

  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, coordinating with relevant authorities and departments.

  • Conduct routine property walks to identify and address any security concerns.

  • Complete and maintain timely investigations and written reports of security issues.

  • Attend company and department meetings and deliver training as required.

  • Follow and enforce all ASM GLOBAL security policies, procedures, and standards.

  • All other duties as assigned by Security Managers and/or Director of Security.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.

  • Minimum of 3 years of security guard experience, preferably in a similar environment.

  • Hold a current California Guard Card and must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.

  • Proficiency in written and verbal English communication.

  • Knowledge of security camera systems and data storage.

  • Independent thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to interface with all levels of personnel.

  • Must be able to follow instructions and respond safely and quickly in an emergency situation.

  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

  • Professional appearance, demeanor, and work ethic.

  • Must be able to work irregular hours, including weekends, and holidays.

  • Must be computer literate, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
