About The 2025 SF Fed Summer Internship Program
At the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, we are passionate about recognizing and developing emerging talent. Our internship program gives college and graduate students the opportunity to experience work-life in a vibrant, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
Our program is designed for interns to experience growth professionally and personally, working closely with managers and team members as they share in our great mission of public service. We believe in providing enriching experiences that allow individuals to contribute to finding solutions and identifying opportunities that are critical to their team’s and the Bank’s success.
Operations Intern at the SF Fed
Desired areas of study (but not limited to):
Accounting, Law Enforcement, Logistics, Operations Management, Psychology, Public Administration, Supply Chain, Risk Management
Operations interns will use skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, writing, and collaboration to work on projects which ensure our business operations remain sound, updated, efficient, and documented. Interns will gain experience, exposure, learn about a variety of operational-related challenges that will help to build foundational knowledge for the future.
Teams hosting OPERATIONS INTERNS are:
Audit, Banking Supervision, District Cash Services, Federal Reserve Financial Services, Legal-Enterprise Risk Management, Workplace Experience/Law Enforcement.

Program Eligibility
Full-time undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited community college, four-year college, or university with an expected graduation date between December 2025 – June 2027
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Residency
Keen interest in public service, and the overall mission-driven work of the SF Fed
Demonstrated leadership ability
Ability to work 40 hours per week for the full duration of the 10.5-week internship
