What makes someone choose one company over another? Pay, Benefits, Training, Work Satisfaction, Culture? What if you can have it all! At G2 Ops we have extremely competitive pay and benefits and that is not even the best part. Our culture is what sets us apart from other companies. Here, you will not be another payroll number or a cog in the machine. We provide great value to our customers by working as a team and ensuring every member is set up for success. Our team approach allows for each member to not only provide value with their expertise but also gives them the opportunity to cross train in other areas they have interest in.

Let's talk salary. The salary range for this position based on what we are asking you to do in the role starts at $80,000 and goes up to $150,000, based on qualifications and experience. We'd like to start somewhere in that ballpark and go from there. With company standard annual performance reviews in place, plus on the spot awards for recognition; your performance will be rewarded and recognized, we promise!

So you want to work from home? Let's be honest, remote work is not all it's cut out to be. Due to the classification level of the projects we support, we are not able to offer remote opportunities at this time. Hear us out. As a Defense Contractor, we are working on and viewing some VERY highly classified material, and therefore, we need to ensure where you access your work is secure. You will have your own new, shiny desk at one of our G2 Ops offices, plus the opportunity to work on-site directly with our customers (this is a good thing!). We do allow teleworking, but only with prior IT Department and manager approval. Here's the thing, we have worked very hard to create an awesome culture where our employees get to come to a collaborative, exciting office environment and we want you to join the fun!

Still not convinced?  Allow us to elaborate. We are seeking a passionate Systems Engineer to support the decomposition and allocation of top-level requirements to lower-level requirement documents. This team member will be responsible for delivering cutting-edge solutions to our customer’s most challenging problems. A top priority will be ensuring program requirements are clearly defined and customer expectations are being met.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Agile management/collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

  • Experience with various model-based system-engineering tools - Cameo Systems Modeler, Magic Draw, Enterprise Architect.

  • Knowledge of IT, computer system infrastructure, data communication and network systems, TCP/IP, OSI model, and routing protocols.

  • OMG-Certified SysML Professional (OCSMP) certification.

  • Security+ certification.

    General Responsibilities:

  • Participate in system requirements reviews and maintain requirements documentation.

  • Identify potential system interface requirements.

  • Review system engineering documentation to validate specifications.

  • Produce and maintain system engineering models using modeling languages such as UML and SysML.

  • Produce artifacts to support customer objectives.

  • Participate in project/program technical risk analysis and mitigation.

  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaborate in a team environment.

  • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills.

    General Required Skills:

  • Experience applying model-based systems and digital engineering procedures, processes, and methodologies.

  • Experience with UML/SysML modeling languages and/or DoDAF/UAF frameworks.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.

  • Experience with systems engineering aspects such as requirements elicitation, analysis, derivation, and traceability, functional analysis and allocation, WBS, trade studies, modeling and simulation, metrics, risk management, integration and test, verification, and validation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, along with effective time and project management skills.

Not sure if you are qualified? Apply anyway! Remember that cross training we talked about? Even if your primary job focuses in the past aren’t Engineering focused, but you want to expand and strengthen your technical prowess, we should still talk.
