Description

PCSI is looking for a Supply Technician at NavSea, San Diego, CA! Responsible for inventory and storage management of maintenance materials/supplies. Coordinates the purchasing of all maintenance materials/supplies, receiving of materials/supplies and prepares items according to work orders for delivery to work or storage areas. This position will report to the Project Manager and is based at NavSea in San Diego. Typical work hours will be Monday through Friday from 6:30a.m-3pm

Benefits Include:

· Base pay of $ 37.98/hr.

What You'll Do as Supply Technician:

  • Responsible for inventory and storage management of maintenance materials/supplies.

  • Coordinates the purchasing of all maintenance materials/supplies, receiving of materials/supplies and prepares items according to work orders for delivery to work or storage areas.

  • Responsible for providing the necessary data for monthly and quarterly inventory reporting.

  • Responsible for cycle, quarterly and annual inventory counts.

  • Manually packs, packages, or wraps a variety of materials. Inspects items for defects, labels cartons, stamp information on products, keep records of items and appropriately place them in the warehouse.

  • Always adheres to all company and personal safety. Works in a safe and responsible manner and complies with safety standards. Conducts moves within constraints of personal skill level. Understands use of P.P.E. (Personal Protective Equipment).

  • Operates a company-owned vehicle (and cellular telephone) to transport self and others in performance of assigned duties; performs operator maintenance as required.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Requires knowledge of hand and power tools, carpentry tools, etc.

  • Requires knowledge of PC functions and Computer Maintenance Management Software.

  • Operation of windows applications, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, etc., and related applications.

  • Requires knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Frequently required to sit and climb or balance.

  • Use of hands and fingers to handle or feel. Ability to reach with hands and arms.

  • The employee frequently is required to sit and climb or balance.

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift and/or move up to 350 pounds assisted.

  • Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.

  • Exposure to dirt, dust, loud noise, and outside weather conditions.

  • Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

  • Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI clearance and Common Access Card.
