BAE Systems Subcontract Administrator Sr in San Diego, California
Job Description
BAE Systems is hiring a Senior Subcontract Administrator to support our Ship Repair business. This is an exciting opportunity to engage and support the Ship Repair business. This role will serve as a key negotiator of price, scope, terms, and conditions.
Responsibilities:
Manage subcontracts for assigned programs, including planning, negotiating, administering, and executing proposals and subcontract agreements.
Lead subcontract negotiations, administration, and management from bid to close-out
Responsible for procurement compliance, cost/price analysis, and execution of Proprietary Information Agreements
Manage and maintain various program license agreements, leading negotiations, assisting with the invoicing and payments to vendors, and leading internal communications with various departments
Develop and validate subcontract specifications, work statements, subcontract management plans, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, supplies, and services of a highly specialized nature which may require alterations
Lead activities of subcontract administration teams on assigned programs required for the sourcing of complex programs for material and services.
Responsibilities include prepare/review proposals; develop evaluation criteria; negotiate subcontract provisions; select/recommend subcontractors; write subcontract packages for review; prepare awards; administer resulting subcontracts; negotiate additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts; and resolve invoice issues
Develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with both internal and external customers
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in related discipline and 4 years of directly related work experience or equivalent experience
Experience in Subcontract Administration/Management
Experience generating, negotiating, and executing major subcontracts/purchases
Experience in Negotiation of terms and conditions, license agreements, etc.
Experience in Ship Repair, Maritime, or Government Contracting
Ability to work closely with Operations Proposal Group to develop subcontractor strategies including packaging work and negotiating to support the price to win
Ability to conduct effective meetings with personnel and facilitate meetings with subcontractors and leadership
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time management/organizational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

Experience in Government Subcontracts
Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM)

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $78760 - $133870
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
