John Asdell with Robert Half is partnered with a clinical stage pharmaceutical company that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join it’s growing team. The company is exceptionally well capitalized and is preparing to IPO. As the Staff Accountant, you would play a critical role in contributing to various aspects of the financial operations. Reporting directly to the Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager, you will be primarily responsible for accounts payable, prepaids, accruals, and bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including processing vendor invoices and setting up new vendors.

• Assist with vendor inquiries and vendor bill payment runs.

• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for select areas of the general ledger, including cash, prepaids, accounts payable, and accrued credit card.

• Ensure vendor bills are accurately processed and paid in a timely manner.

• Ensure assigned general ledger areas are accurate, complete, and timely reported.

• Assist with various ad hoc projects as they arise.

• Adhere to company accounting and internal control policies.

• Maintain excellent working relationships with critical collaborative partners throughout the company.

• Ensure facility safety standards are upheld.

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Finance from a 4-year university

· 1+ years of progressive accounting experience

· Experience with NetSuite is valued, but not required
