Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a Senior Principal Electronics Engineer – Hardware Lead to join our team in Rancho Bernando, CA. This position will be in our Avionics Integration Organization.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leading and developing team of hardware and infrastructure engineers through technology development, execution, integration, and deployment
Leading technical discussion in datacenter and IT system infrastructure developing while working with Software development and other stakeholders
Responsible for management of Infrastructure Jira project, executing scrums, sprint plans, and priority deconfliction
Responsible for technical breadth across technology stack in the datacenter/IT system
Responsible for staffing management and content delivery plan between multiple business areas
Responsible for planning out release content across multiple IFCs based off program milestones with technical content
Responsible for working with Product Owner to groom backlog, prioritize content, and execute work based off milestones and technical needs
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. This role requires the ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 3 years of related engineering experience.
Experience with systems engineering practices
Experience with Microsoft Visio and other Office products to express engineering documentation
Active in-Scope, DoD Top Secret clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Current Special Program Access
Experience as lead, functional and/or Cost Account Manager
Knowledge of Cisco UCS Compute, NetApp ONTAP/StorageGrid, Cisco Nexus Networks, VMware virtualization (vSphere, NSX-T, Horizon, vRealize, and vCloud Foundation)
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
Salary Range: $133,000 - $199,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
