Position Overview:
Robert Half is seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Coordinator on behalf of our client, a thriving medical clinic. This role is pivotal in ensuring a welcoming and seamless experience for patients while maintaining efficient daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative background, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Check-In/Out: Greet patients warmly, manage check-ins, verify insurance information, and ensure the accurate collection of patient details.
Scheduling: Coordinate and maintain patient appointment schedules, confirm upcoming appointments, and assist with cancellations or rescheduling as needed.
Communication Management: Answer and route incoming calls, respond to emails, and address patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Administrative Support: Accurately input and update patient information in electronic medical records (EMR) systems while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA.
Insurance and Billing Assistance: Verify insurance coverage, process co-pays, and assist patients with questions regarding billing and account statements.
Office Coordination: Monitor and restock office supplies, maintain a clean and organized reception area, and support other administrative tasks as needed.
Customer Service: Act as a liaison between patients, clinical staff, and other departments to ensure patient concerns are addressed effectively and promptly.
Data Management: Ensure all patient data and documentation are handled accurately and securely, in compliance with medical and organizational standards.
Problem-Solving: Handle patient concerns and unexpected issues with professionalism and a solution-oriented mindset.
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate degree or healthcare certification preferred).
1-2 years of experience in a front desk, administrative, or customer service role; prior experience in a medical clinic or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems (experience with systems such as Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar is a plus).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-focused attitude.
Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification processes, and billing procedures is a plus.
Professional demeanor with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
