Job Overview:
APTIM is searching for a Proposal Specialist who has a good understanding of the federal proposal process with a basic understanding of state and local proposals as well.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Lead task order or standalone opportunities of various sizes with a primary focus on federal proposals
Support Proposal Managers with large ID/IQ efforts as volume lead or writer
Take end-to-end ownership of proposal development and related support processes, including:
Developing and maintaining proposal management tools such as compliance matrices, schedules, outlines, storyboards, win themes, and action items
Conceptualizing and developing strategic win themes and discriminators
Leading a team of writers, graphic artists, schedulers, estimators, procurement, contracts, and other key proposal staff from kickoff through proposal delivery
Writing and editing proposal/marketing narrative
Leveraging existing archived proposal information
Interviewing technical and program staff to extract critical information
Tracking all solicitation amendments and modifications
Performing quality and compliance checks of all proposal sections and volumes
Participating in the development of oral presentation slide concepts and scripting, as needed
Closely interacting with capture managers, program and project managers, strategic business unit leaders, and technical professionals
Basic Qualifications:
Critical skills include time management, communication, and teamwork
Strong organizational skills and follow-through
Strong attention to detail, and proofreading skills
Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
Ability to motivate along with a "do-whatever-it-takes" attitude
Ability to manage situations involving high stress and deadline pressure
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, engineering or related discipline, or equivalent
3+ years of federal proposal experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, high-volume proposal environment is preferred
Some large (>$10M) federal proposal experience is required
DoD proposal experience is preferred
Ability to balance and prioritize multiple completing deadlines
Ability to conceptualize and write compelling, marketing-oriented proposal narrative, as required
Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite is required
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite is preferred
Excellent command of English grammar and punctuation is required
Proven ability to work remote with little to no supervision is preferred
Although not extensive, some travel and evening and weekend work may be required
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
APMP certification is preferred
