Description
Reporting to the Sr Director of Operations, the candidate will be responsible for Knowles manufacturing located in San Diego, California. The candidate will be responsible to ensure the factories are meeting tactical performances to support business needs while driving long range plans to enable factories to achieve greater efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Execution Efficiency:
Meet factory performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Yield and Cost targets.
Coordinate with R&D to enable smooth transition from design to production of new products.
Facilitate the alignment of priorities between commercial and operational.
- Planning:
Develop and execute comprehensive plans to meet factory goals and objectives.
- Continuous Improvements:
Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement within manufacturing processes and workflows for improved productivity, quality, and yield.
Improvements to existing manufacturing systems or deployment of enhanced manufacturing systems that will increase factory efficiency.
Guide and implement methods and tools to streamline operations, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency.
Utilize data-driven approaches to analyze performance metrics, identify trends, and present actionable insights for improvement.
Regularly track and report progress on improvement and responding to areas needing further attention.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor's degree preferably in a technical discipline with a minimum of 8-10 years of demonstrated performance in Manufacturing / Operations.
Demonstrated capability in execution excellence and ability to build effective operations culture is required.
Proven track record of driving continuous improvements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detailed oriented and able to work independently and multi-task.
Excellent management skills and lead factory teams to drive positive changes.
Familiarity with electrical/ electronic components manufacturing such as Capacitors or RF Filters is an advantage.
Candidate is expected to work full time on location at San Diego, California.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting salary for this role is targeted between $130,000 to $160,000 per year.
