Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$29.276 - $36.595 - $43.914

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

What You Will Do

Perform work assignments to ensure a safe, sanitary, healthy, friendly and comfortable environment for visitors, patients, physicians and employees. Be committed to ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations, quality outcomes and internal and external customer satisfaction. Work cooperatively with Managers, Directors, and Physicians to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.

Required Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Or

  • Other : Trade school

  • 3 Years progressive experience in the maintenance of hospitals, hotels or large office complexes. Experience to include HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire controls.

  • Driver's License - CA Department of Motor Vehicles OR Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A - CA Department of Motor Vehicles OR Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B - CA Department of Motor Vehicles -REQUIRED

Other Qualification Requirements

  • Demonstrates clean driving record in accordance with the requirements of the employer DMV pull notice program and Sharp HealthCare Driver Guidelines.

Essential Functions

  • Customer serviceCompletion of requests for service as determined by work orders completed.As requested or directed, conduct surveys of facilities for all areas of responsibility with support services manager or designee achieving positive change.

  • Daily operationsExpertise: Demonstrate technical expertise and competency within scope of job description, acts as a resource for the designated area of responsibility. Partner with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to continuously learn and expand knowledge base.Triage/Messages: Listen to employee requests, collects pertinent information and assesses needs, recognizes the urgency of the problems, offers advice and recommendations based on approved protocols.Other: Participate in special projects as requested by management.Provide assistance to staff in resolving issues related to areas of responsibilities. Acts as a positive role model and ensures appropriate service delivery.Applications: Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures and guidelines for department and other applications.

  • Perform general clerical dutiesStaffing Daily Organization/Effectiveness: Work with management to ensure coverage and/or provide adequate alternatives. Ensures attendance and overtime compliance. Ensure prompt and efficient return of messages in the department. Monitors assigned daily tasks to ensure quality and service standards.Maintain current certifications (if applicable) to ensure current validity.Policy and Procedure: Meet all policy and procedure compliance within the department. Adhere to procedural changes, such as new protocols.Complete assigned work orders and enter necessary information for future reference.Other: Perform all other duties as required by Manager.

  • QualityDemonstrate commitment to customers through service excellence.Effectively communicate, cooperate and collaborate to achieve the best positive results. Model appropriate interaction with patients. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have ability to effectively coordinate, guide and implement various building maintenance tasks and vendors at multiple clinic sites simultaneously.

  • Responsible for instilling safe work habits in employees and for the maintenance of the work environment

  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance procedures and use of a wide variety of maintenance tools and equipment.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and computerized Maintenance Management system (CMMS).

  • Documents maintenance and decorating actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

  • Maintains vehicles by filling gasoline and oil levels; scheduling regular maintenance.
