Robert Half Legal Billing Specialist in San Diego, California
Description
Robert Half is partnering with a prestigious law firm in downtown San Diego to find an experienced Legal Billing Specialist. This position can be either contract or contract-to-hire, depending on the candidate’s fit and the firm’s needs. The ideal
candidate will have a strong background in legal billing, experience with Aderant software, and the ability to support a high-volume legal billing team.
Responsibilities:
Process legal billing and invoices accurately and efficiently using Aderant software.
Handle collections and follow up on outstanding invoices.
Support a high-volume legal billing team with various billing-related tasks.
Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and firm policies.
Prepare and review prebills, finalize bills, and submit electronic billing as required.
Respond to billing inquiries from attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders.
Maintain accurate billing records and documentation.
Assist with month-end and year-end billing processes and reporting.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 1 years of experience in legal billing within a law firm environment.
Proficiency in Aderant billing software is required.
Strong understanding of legal billing processes and procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and invoice processing.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
