Job Description

The LVC Integration Lead works onsite at the Battle Simulation Center (BSC) Camp Pendleton, CA supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center- Corona (NSWC-Corona) in providing LVC training for I MEF Areas of Responsibility. The LVC Integration Lead assists with the planning, design, and execution of LVC events for USMC supported training events and provides expert knowledge and solutions in integrating simulation systems and platforms. The LVC Integration Lead position is a leadership position that requires interaction with Military, Government and Contractor Leadership. Communication skills are required. The candidate will serve as NSWC-Corona’s LVC technical and operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of LVC training events. Communicate with leadership on any technical or operational issues and new requirements.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and provides recommendations on issues dealing with disciplines such as military command control and communications, electronic warfare, weapon systems, contingency operations, Military Tactics Techniques and Procedures (MTTP), force planning, and training exercises.

  • Coordinates with user community representatives throughout all phases of development concerning requirements definition, clarification, prioritization, and alternatives.

  • Analyzes the conduct and results of operational user training, military maneuvers or simulated wartime operations undertaken to main the capabilities of a force.

  • Compares, analyzes and evaluates the relative merits of program designs and alternatives.

  • Applies emerging doctrine and tactics, whether detailed in formal doctrinal changes or emanating from Advanced Warfighting Experiments (AWEs), Advanced Technology Demonstrations (ATDs), or Force XXI activities, to system design and development.

  • Assesses the impact of programmatic and technical options on stated user requirements and doctrine.

  • Prepares reports and briefs summarizing support requirements, deficiencies, and investments for various programs and systems.

  • Assist in leveraging LVC capabilities and strategies that align with goals of the training program.

  • Oversee implementation of new systems and upgrades to existing systems, ensuring they meet technical standards and training requirements.

  • Work with the Marine Enterprise Training Network (MTEN) and Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) local and remote operators and engineers, and external Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC) teams to coordinate and plan systems and personnel support for events.

  • Adjust daily working hours occasionally to match times zones around the world where events are occurring.

  • Occasional travel is required in support of event planning conferences.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field OR

  • 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field OR

  • 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field OR

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements

  • Construct of Operational and Tactical Levels of Warfare events to include live virtual constructive

  • Well-developed personal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools

  • Prior military service leadership level highly desired

  • Tactical Training Range operations and management

  • Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems and operations

  • Knowledge of Marine Constructive Suite, Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) simulation or other HLA/DIS modeling tools

  • USMC combat and training systems or Aviation combat and training systems

  • Must currently hold and be able to maintain a US Secret clearance, with the ability to upgrade to a US Top Secret clearance if required.
