Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent for a project-based position in Oceanside, CA to oversee trades and manage daily on-site activities for multi-family projects. Projects will be new construction.

The successful candidate must possess the knowledge, experience, and confidence to engage and professionally interact with design professionals, consultants, and clients. Responsibilities include directing sub-contractors and other construction related personnel, planning, coordinating, and safely executing work in accordance with the contract documents, schedule, and budget. This individual will work closely with Sr. Superintendent, Project Managers and fulfill an integral role on each assigned project. This position may require travel to numerous locations within San Diego County.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience for a General Contracting firm in the field on a multi-family construction project

  • Experience working with City of Oceanside permitting jurisdiction is a plus

  • Strong ability to read and interpret plans and specs

  • Must have a strong understanding of construction terminology, scheduling, and planning concepts

  • Must be proficient at computer use as a means for communication (Word, Excel, Project)

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Construction or related technical field is a plus

  • Procore project management software (or similar software) experience is a plus

  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Must understand the importance of safety and quality on a job site

  • Submittal review and shop drawing review experience

Estimated Compensation Range: $115,000 -$135,000/year*

*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
