Job Title: Electrical Construction Inspector
Location: Various Locations, CA

Key Responsibilities:
Field and Office Engineering Support: Assist the Resident Engineer with both field Electrical Construction Inspection services and office engineering duties to ensure smooth project execution.
Client Relationship Management: Understand and address the needs of clients and customers, ensuring project requirements are met with the highest level of satisfaction.
Safety Protocols: Operate strictly within customer safety protocols, ensuring that all activities comply with established safety standards at all times.
Daily Reporting and Documentation: Complete and submit all required Inspector’s Daily Reports (IDRs) to maintain clear and accurate records of construction activities.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections for quality workmanship and perform field measurements of construction materials and products to ensure adherence to project specifications.
Monitoring Compliance: Oversee the construction Contractor’s quality control and traffic control operations, as well as ensuring compliance with any special environmental contract requirements.
Contract Document Management: Identify any errors, changes, or field adjustments to contract documents and proactively recommend appropriate actions to the Resident Engineer.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Graduation from a four-year curriculum in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate required.
Experience:
Two (2) years of demonstrated experience in construction inspection for highways or major public works projects (Electrical or Civil).
OR, a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Electrical (or Civil) Engineering or a baccalaureate degree in Electrical (or Civil) Engineering with a minimum of two years of electrical construction inspection experience for major public works projects.
Additional Experience:
Experience working with California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) standards, specifications, Construction Manual, and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) procedures is highly preferred.
Compensation:
$60hr-$100hr
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
