Mercedes-Benz San Diego Is Now Hiring Strike Replacement Automotive Technicians
Mercedes-Benz San Diego's technicians are represented by the International Association of Machinists labor union. The Dealership has been the target of an economic strike by the Union and remains so as of June 17, 2022; and as a result is seeking "permanent replacement" workers as permitted by the National Labor Relations Board. We are looking for employees to cross the picket line and join other Mercedes-Benz San Diego employees working to keep the Dealership's service department operating during the strike. This ad was placed by Steven von Prisk, in his capacity as Area Human Resources Manager.

As a Flat Rate Technician, you will perform repairs and maintenance work in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards for an excellent customer experience.
Pay for this position is $32 - $42 per hour plus bonus.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment, 3+ years of dealership experience. Brand knowledge is preferred, but not required.

Communication: Clearly and effectively communicate technical information regarding customer vehicles to Service Advisors.
Accountability: Comply with all manufacturer standards of quality and timeliness for repairs and maintenance work, and ensure that all estimates and work orders are accurate.
Safety: Understand and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations that affect shop operations, such as handling and disposal of hazardous waste, OSHA, and use of safety and health personal protective equipment.
