Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in San Diego, California
Description
We're seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you'll play a critical role in managing our receivables process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory standards within the dynamic environment of the biotech industry.
Responsibilities:
Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices for products and services rendered
Monitor accounts receivable aging and proactively follow up on past due invoices, initiating collection efforts as necessary
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Process incoming payments and apply them to the appropriate accounts accurately
Investigate and resolve billing inquiries or disputes from customers, providing exceptional customer service
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address customer billing issues and streamline processes
Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts receivable
Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and operational excellence
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or related finance roles, preferably in the biotech or life sciences industry
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proactive problem-solving skills and a willingness to take initiative
