Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in San Diego, California. This role primarily focuses on the meticulous tracking of grant funding for a significant project. Operating within a bustling office environment, the successful candidate will be expected to handle a wide range of tasks related to accounts payable.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process a high volume of invoices monthly
• Conduct full cycle accounts payable operations
• Execute monthly check runs efficiently
• Utilize the Financial Edge system and other proprietary software, training will be provided
• Maintain a proactive approach, seeking additional tasks when current ones are completed
• Avoid distractions such as personal phone use during work hours
• Demonstrate reliability, committing to standard office hours of 8AM – 5PM.
This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are highly detail-oriented and possess the ability to ask questions when necessary. It requires a skill set that includes proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP). Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations
• Demonstrated ability to manage invoicing and payment processing
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
• Competency in Office software, databases, and accounting software
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and payroll policies
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve AP issues efficiently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
