Description We are offering a contract for a Staff Accountant role that could potentially lead to a permanent position. Based in San Antonio, Texas, this position is within the Audio Video Integration industry, where you will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including invoice creation, vendor credit management, and service proposal generation.

Responsibilities

• Generate invoices for clients for projects and services, ensuring all charges are accurate.

• Review and approve invoices from technicians and vendors, while handling any discrepancies.

• Manage vendor credits, ensuring they are properly tracked and applied.

• Generate service proposals and forward them to clients.

• Order parts for service cases, keeping track of all purchases.

• Collaborate with other departments, external technicians, and vendors to ensure smooth business operations.

• Use Xero, Bill.com, Conga, Sales Force, and Service Channel proficiently for various tasks.

• Record all invoices in Bill.com and submit them for management's final review and approval.

• Ensure timely payment to all technicians.

• Assist in reconciliation processes, including posting expense receipts, invoices, and bank account statements.

• Oversee business registration and licenses.

• Generate and submit invoices for payment through Service Channel and close cases within Salesforce.

• Update part numbers in Xero and Salesforce and vendor information in Xero.

• Adhere to Standard Operation procedures for the Staff Accountant role.

• Provide weekly updates on work progress.

• Generate all 1099’s within Bill.com for all vendors/technicians.

• Handle sales tax reporting and business registration and licenses.

• Create project deposit invoices and final invoices within Xero.

• Generate client proposals for service cases that exceed a certain dollar amount.

• Generate quotes for projects within Xero.

• Record deposits and mark invoices as paid.

• Obtain sales tax rate(s) within Xero. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the accounting field.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Demonstrated experience with bank reconciliations.

• Solid understanding and working knowledge of the General Ledger.

• Ability to prepare and post journal entries.

• Experience with month end close procedures.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced knowledge of Excel Formulas.

• Familiarity with SAP ERP and Xero software.

• Experience with bill.com is preferred.

• Knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Sales Cloud, and Salesforce Platform.

• Experience in Full Cycle Accounting procedures.

• Knowledge of Full Charge Bookkeeping practices.

• Ability to handle all billing functions.

• Experience with various billing software.

• Familiarity with financial statements and their preparation.
