As aManager Wholesale Contract Administrationyou will manage and coordinate daily operations and administration of all updates and changes to contracts as well as the Contract Administration analysts for all Wholesale contract types. Responsible for the supervision, training, coaching and development of the Contract Administration team and may supervise contractors and interns. Acts as liaison between various company departments to ensure the proper intent of all contracts is communicated and to ensure all contracts are properly performed by Valero.

  • Develops and manages standards and procedures for all accounts, sites, events, agreements and amendments to ensure quality of work (Purchase Contracts, Unbranded, DMA, Incentive Agreement and BDP etc.).
  • Manages contracts entered into by Valero's Wholesale Marketing and resolves any inconsistencies with data provided and performs clean-up as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Trains new and existing employees on departmental procedures.
  • Ensures successful and timely communication with internal and external customers including but not limited to contract entry, maintenance, transfers, assignments.
  • Works with department analysts to prioritize and balance tasks for the team and to ensure proper coverage, prompt responses and excellent Customer Service.
  • Analyzes, audits, and oversees all term contracts monthly commitments and ensure parameters are both established and met as it relates to reimbursement payments based upon contract volume and pricing.
  • Prepare and deliver periodic and annual employee performance discussions.
  • Submit on-line quarterly Sarbanes Oxley assessment reports to Internal Audit and as requested by external auditors.
  • Provides continual evaluation of processes and procedures. Suggests methods to improve area operations, efficiency, and services to both internal and external customers. Prepares and monitors regular analyst progress reports to include ad hoc reports.
  • Reviews, organizes and maintains accurate distributor data using various software tools.(SAP, S4P, WCM, etc.).
  • Acts as a liaison with Audit, Sales, Legal, IS, etc., providing assistance and back-up documentation as well as utilize feedback from Distributors and other departments to ensure we are the most effective.
  • Reads and analyzes contracts for potential risks. Immediately investigates and resolves any differences in contracts. Communicates with appropriate departments regarding any potential risks. Communicates any changes in contracts to customers, suppliers, etc.
  • Provides positive, effective leadership to the Contract Administration team in order to capitalize on their full potential. Ensure that all employees are stimulated, motivated and guided to contribute fully to the realization of Contract Administration vision, goals and objectives. Empower employees to identify innovative approaches to enhance organizational performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10 years of experience in wholesale, finance or commercial required.
  • Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero San Antonio location, required

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.
