In this role you are responsible for performing all aspects of SCCM planning, setup, deployment and maintenance. Experience in SCCM 2016 is a plus. Experience in setting up SCCM along with configuring boundaries.
Extensive experience in the implementation, administration and configuration of SCCM 2012/2016 Enterprise environment
Deployment of monthly MS patches
Experience with desktop deployment automation architecture, design/migration and troubleshooting
Experience managing an OS image for large corporate environments
Contribute to development and ongoing improvement of industry best practices and standards for deploying enterprise technologies
Knowledge of the Windows registry, interaction of drivers within the OS, and unattended/silent installs of Windows operating systems
Evaluate emerging technologies to ensure technical solutions are compatible with the company's business needs and strategic objectives
Provide technical expertise, guidance and strategic recommendations to other IT groups
Functional working and debugging knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
Investigate, analyze and resolve technical issues and actively pursue mechanisms for preventing, or automating the response to reoccurrences
Hardware and software procurement - Receives equipment deliveries, sets up and configures system hardware, system operating systems, and system components per departmental standards and direction from senior administrators. Dell and HP Server hardware in use at United.
Production Support - Monitors ticket queue, responds to daily system events, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves hardware and software problems. Seeks out advice and guidance in a timely manner from senior administrators when dealing with unfamiliar issues.
Security - Maintains established departmental security standards. HIPAA and Sarbanes Oxley
Communication - Provides assignment updates to management and end user in writing. Prepares system documentation, asset lists, inventories, and user documentation as directed.
Support for the following systems: MS Exchange 2016, MS LDS AD, Active Directory, IIS, VMWare 5.1/6.0, Citrix 6.5, CommVault Backups, Dell Compellent SAN, MS SQL
Monitoring Support - IpSwitch WhatsUp Gold, SCOM, Dell FogLight
Direct experience installing and configuring in a Windows server as well as working with network protocols and services including Windows Server 2008/12/16, TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS.
Able to lift 50lbs to rack and stack servers when needed.
Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field. (4 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree)
1+ years of related experience in a Windows server administration capacity
3+ years of experience in an Information Technology environment
A background in customer service helping associates of varied skill sets and end-users
