job summary:
This role involves planning and designing internal logistics layouts, equipment needs, and material delivery processes. Key responsibilities include data benchmarking, process improvement, equipment evaluation, and managing multiple projects. The candidate will collaborate with teams to optimize logistics KPIs, support decision-making, and identify critical project criteria.
Must Have:
Technical degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Transportation, or Logistics Management OR relevant work experience in Logistics, Packaging, or Supply Chain.
5+ years of work experience in a related field.
Preferred:
Experience in new model body shop production preparation.
Experience in manufacturing shop projects or mass production.
Experience planning internal logistics and conveyance processes, from dock door unload to lineside delivery, or relevant coursework in manufacturing process planning.
Knowledge of vehicle structure and processing.
Advanced degree in Engineering or Logistics.
Project management experience is highly desirable.
Experience with logistics, conveyance, or PC systems in a manufacturing environment or related coursework.

responsibilities:
Plan and design internal logistics layouts and equipment
Conduct on-site evaluations and benchmarking to gather current data.
Develop logistics process layouts and conveyance routes for material delivery across the shop floor.
Collaborate with teams to evaluate and present multiple equipment plans, ensuring alignment with logistics KPIs.
Propose and implement new processes or improvements based on experience with existing procedures.
Support multiple simultaneous projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
Provide feedback to support team and group development efforts.
Identify critical judgment criteria and conduct studies to support decision-making, with emphasis on the critical path for project success.
