PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Human Resources Learning Partner at our San Antonio, Texas service center. The primary purpose is to facilitate engaging training courses in the job-specific technical training and soft-skills areas. This individual will guide the learner through the use of engaging and effective adult learning principles. Learning sessions will be facilitated virtually and in person. In addition to facilitation, this individual will contribute to the design and curation of learning content.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate systems training, PenFed products and services training, policies and procedures training, and soft skills training on a broad spectrum of content.

  • Proficiency in both in-person and virtual facilitation best practices and standards to effectively engage diverse audiences.

  • Support design and enhancement of content for training programs by closely partnering with stakeholders and subject matter experts.

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of operating policies and procedures, and PenFed’s products and services.

  • Maintain training data and records for assigned classes.

  • Manage multiple learning initiatives simultaneously.

  • Identify success metrics and conduct pre- and post- training evaluations to test and monitor progress.

  • Understand business needs and provide feedback to learning management on the efficacy of learning programs.

  • Continually assess learner performance and provide feedback to management on achievements, areas of strength and areas of opportunities for improvement.

  • Provide training and support for third party contractors as needed.

  • Maintain vendor relationships for line of business learning programs.

Qualifications

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Adult Learning, Human Resources) or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions.

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience delivering and designing technical and non-technical training curriculum.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience and solid performance within a financial service center or branch role is preferred.

  • Knowledge of Windows-based software packages including MS-Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is required.

  • Web-based authoring or design skills/coursework is preferred.

  • Excellent facilitation skills and knowledge of adult learning principles is required.

Licenses and Certifications

  • SPHR certification is a plus.

  • PROSCI change management certification a plus.

  • Performance Consulting certification a plus.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.

Travel

Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
