Position Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for building repair and maintenance, including tasks in but not limited to carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, painting, and mechanical trades. Other duties may include general maintenance and repairs to BBA's physical exterior and grounds to ensure a safe and secure environment for visitors and staff.
Essential Functions:
Inspects building interiors and exteriors to identify defects and recommend necessary repairs
Performs electrical work, including installing new circuits, replacing or repairing fixtures and devices such as lights, switches, outlets, metal halide, LED, fluorescent bulbs, ballasts, breakers, and fuses, using appropriate tools
Performs plumbing work, including installing new water and drain lines, repairing leaks, and unclogging drains using drain cleaning machines.
Performs painting, carpentry, and masonry work, such as taping and floating drywall, preparing surfaces and applying textures and paint, constructing wood or metal stud walls, hanging doors, and fitting locks and handles
Communicates regularly with the Facilities Maintenance Manager to provide updates, voice concerns, and offer feedback on routine tasks and projects
Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment
Maintains accurate records of preventative maintenance, service requests, and expenditures.
Provides on-call support for emergencies or other off-hours issues
Follows the preventative maintenance schedule set by the Facilities Maintenance Manager, ensuring proper inspection of mechanical systems
Performs additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Complies with all company policies, procedures, and SOPs
Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus

Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED required
At least 3 years of related work experience is required
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools is required
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is required
Valid Driver's License with good driving record is preferred
Refrigerant universal certification is preferred
General experience with machinery, scissor lift, and pallet jack preferred
