Description
Qualifications:
• Possession of CPA designation
• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• More than 5 years of recent experience in public accounting
• Demonstrated 2+ years of progressive supervisory responsibility
• Proficient in directing team members, performing under pressure, and meeting deadlines
• Skilled in prioritizing and organizing multiple activities with meticulous attention to detail
• Proficiency in using computer systems, programs, and data retrieval tools such as CCH Accounting Research Manager, Advance Flow, PPC, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat
• Willingness to travel within San Antonio and surrounding areas
Expectations:
• Oversee and schedule other team members
• This role will involve regular off-site presence for in-person client meetings
Requirements
Responsibilities:
• Take the lead on engagements and effectively convey crucial information to audit staff, managers, partners, and clients
• Manage audit fieldwork to ensure timely completion of audits
• Conduct planning by interviewing the client, gathering necessary audit documents, and assigning tasks within the audit team
• Perform audits and reviews for a diverse range of organizations including non-profit entities, for-profit businesses, and employee benefit plans across various industries
• Develop testing methodologies to assess control adequacy
• Conduct research on accounting issues specific to the client and familiarize yourself with their internal procedures
• Investigate and ascertain causes of irregularities
• Identify risks in business processes and provide recommendations to mitigate them
• Prepare the initial version of the audit report
• Supervise audit staff assigned to the engagement and review their work on a daily basis
• Fulfill other duties as required and assigned
