Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in San Antonio, Texas
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist within the manufacturing industry, based in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for handling a high volume of accounts payable, coding invoices, and ensuring a three-way match between purchase orders, invoices, and receiving reports.
Responsibilities:
• Process high volume accounts payable on a weekly basis.
• Code invoices accurately for proper record keeping.
• Perform a three-way match to verify the details on purchase orders, invoices, and receiving reports.
• Utilize MS Great Plains Accounting software for accounts payable tasks.
• Proficiently use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation.
• Handle invoice processing efficiently to avoid any discrepancies.
• Manage purchase orders and ensure they are correctly matched with corresponding invoices.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies in invoices and purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any accounts payable issues. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations
• Experience with MS Great Plains Accounting software
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with coding practices relevant to the accounting sector
• Proven experience in invoice processing
• Understanding of purchase order systems and processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
