Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in San Antonio, Texas
Description Are you an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk seeking a new role? Then this employment opportunity offered through Robert Half may be for you. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the San Antonio, Texas area and will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire position. In this influential department, there is a possibility for further career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk responsibilities will include matching and batching code invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks.
What you get to do every day
Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
Provide support during internal and external audits
Fullfill full-cycle A/P
Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis Requirements - Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Billing experience
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience desired
High-Volume Invoicing experience
Deep understanding of account reconciliation
Expertise in B2B collections
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
