ASM Global Accounting Clerk - Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas

POSITION: Accounting ClerkDEPARTMENT: Administrative REPORTS TO: Director of FinanceFLSA STATUS: Part-time, Non-Exempt

SUMMARY

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Accounting Clerk for Savor Black Tie at the Alamodome. Accounting Clerks primary job responsibilities is to assist in all financial operational tasks including daily and monthly reporting and reconciliations, journal entries, payroll, accounts payable, and other office responsibilities related to Food & Beverage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, mail distribution, data entry and filing.

  • Builds event flash reports and reconciliations and maintains critical statistical information on customers and events.

  • Responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, tip payouts, and purchasing and receiving.

  • Manages inventory valuation ensuring proper controls and efficiencies are realized.

  • Assists in scheduling vault clerks and other positions (as necessary) to support events.

  • Cultivates a strong control environment and maintains the Facility's financial policies and procedures.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university preferred.

  • Minimum 1-year experience in administrative level position in Food & Beverage or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

  • Must have extensive knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word.

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL and Quest POS desirable.

  • Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling a high transaction workload.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Independent decision making and problem-solving ability.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and financial procedures, including record keeping and reconciliation.

  • Strong technical accounting skills.

  • Strong leadership skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude.

  • Maintain an effective working relationship with both financial and non-financial associates and all levels of management.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work flexible hours based on events, including daytime, evening, weekends and holidays as needed.

  • Superior PC skills including Excel.

  • Must have professional attitude and appearance.

  • Tact, diplomacy, and discretion required in all matters.
