R.C. HUNT ELECTRIC, INC. Licensed Outside Wireman in SALT LAKE CTY, Utah
Hunt Electric, Inc. of Salt Lake City, UT is searching for a full-time Licensed Journeyman Outside Wireman to join our team. Can you adapt to changing codes, regulations, and safety requirements? Do you enjoy troubleshooting, pulling wire, bending pipe and computing electrical formulas? Can you install control circuits and other components? Are you able to read, interpret, and understand electrical plans, complex circuit schematics, and blueprints?
Major Duties and Qualifications:
- Work in remote areas building substations and electrical infrastructure. It is very helpful to have a travel trailer due to some of our work being several miles from any housing services.
- Demonstrate an aptitude for learning, goal-oriented mindset for continual growth, with a "Can-Do" positive attitude.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the National Electric Code
- Be dependable, we are counting on you!
- Must be capable of operating heavy equipment such as a mini ex, trencher, JLG, bucket truck, crane.
- Must be willing to pull wire and do dirt work.
- This is a role that requires working alone at times, being able to make decisions and move forward with work, working independently and make work judgement calls on your own.
- Must be willing to travel 75% of the time.
- You will be involved in all aspects of the job from cradle to grave. This is not just doing electrical work, its a jack of all trades.
- Terminations, running conduit, trenching, standing steel and laying ground grids.
- You must have an active Utah State Journeyman electrical license
- Substation construction preferred
- Must have a Valid Driver's License
- CDL preferred
- must be able to lift 100 pounds, pass a background and drug test.

This full-time position receives a competitive salary commensurate with experience and position responsibilities. As a full-time Licensed Journeyman Outside Wireman, you would also be eligible for an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, life insurance, short and long-term disability, a 401(k) plan, and paid personal time (PTO).

WORK SCHEDULE: This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm.
