We are in search of a diligent and meticulous Staff Accountant based in Salt Lake City, Utah, to join our team. The successful candidate will be tasked with maintaining financial records, managing various accounting reports, and handling yearly income tax filings, among other responsibilities. This position will involve working closely with our professional team in the commercial real estate industry.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage bookkeeping, including journal entries for bank transactions.

• Review and reconcile property financials and prepare internal financial statements.

• Manage cash disbursement process, including expense reimbursement, after reviewing supporting documents.

• Support property managers to maintain accurate and timely accounting reports.

• Perform Balance Sheet reconciliation, including cash, loan, fixed assets, distributions, and capital balances.

• Manage yearly income tax filings and audits.

• Handle local tax filings, including sales and transient tax and personal property tax.

• Oversee various projects including investor relation, investor K-1s, budgeting, and others as assigned.

• Report directly to the CEO and assist in any other ad-hoc projects as needed.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks Online for various accounting tasks.

• Leverage skills in Full Charge Bookkeeping, Commercial Real Estate, and Property Accounting.

Requirements • Proficiency in Full Charge Bookkeeping is required

• Experience with Commercial Real Estate is essential

• Demonstrable skills in Property Accounting are necessary

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Understands and can apply US GAAP

• Familiarity with Quickbooks Online software is crucial

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus

• Understanding of financial regulations and legislation is beneficial.
