If you are live in Draper UT / Salt Lake City UT regional area, you will have the flexibility to work remotely*, as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges. (Hybrid working environment 3 days per week in the Draper UT office location)
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare general ledger reconciliations and postings to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
Record monthly journal entries and develop underlying support
Stay abreast of new accounting rules and make appropriate changes in policies and procedures
Plan and execute the ongoing re-assessment of internal controls over financial reporting
Work with the Accounting Manager on ad hoc accounting projects
Interface and assist the Accounting Manager and Controller with the internal and external audits conducted at the Bank throughout the fiscal year
Proactively identify and troubleshoot financial problems to ensure operational effectiveness and maintain proper controls
Work with different departments throughout the Bank on various projects to provide finance’s perspective and input

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance or related field
2+ years accounting/finance experience with a proven understanding of accounting theory
Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Advanced Formulas)
Must be willing to work MST (Mountain Time) business hours regardless of remote working location in the US
Must be willing/able to travel to the Draper UT office location approximately once per year (or as business needs dictate) for in-person team collaboration meeting(s)
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA designation
Master’s degree
Experience in the banking industry
