Job Title: Solder Technician
Job Description
We are looking to hire three skilled Solder Technicians. Candidates will primarily be responsible for crimping and soldering electrical harnesses, using various hand tools to disassemble products, cleaning components, and then sending them to assemblers for reassembly. A solder test will be conducted during the interview, which will involve soldering wires to bulkheads. Soldering experience is essential, and IPC J-STD, 610, and 620 soldering certifications are highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deficiencies by fabricating or modifying parts using available tools.
Utilize mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics to prepare and assemble electro/mechanical parts.
Learn how to bench test, environmentally test, and pressure test ILI tool sub-assemblies.
Acquire fundamentals associated with building, repairing, and maintaining TDW ILI Tool components.
Develop and apply the ability to implement approved safety procedures to ensure the personal safety of all parties involved.
Develop the ability to respond to customer requirements (internal and external) and address problem-solving aspects of all TDW ILI Systems Technician tasks.
Develop the required experience, skill, and behavior competencies to become a TDW Systems Technician.
Essential Skills
Soldering experience
Attention to detail
Experience with surface mount and electronic assembly
Microscope inspection skills
Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
Experience with surface-mount technology, thru-hole, PCB, and circuit board assembly
Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
IPC J-STD, 610, and 620 soldering certifications are highly advantageous
Process-oriented and detail-oriented
Ability to apply safety procedures effectively

Work Environment
The work environment is a clean facility. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with the choice of working from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salt Lake City, Utah.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00
