Description
The 3D Data and Software Support Specialist reports directly to the SITECH Support Manager and is responsible for leading all aspects of 3D modeling services, training, support activities, and customer consulting within the SITECH Intermountain dealership. In addition, the 3D Data and Software Support Specialist will become certified to work with 3D design data and manage the outsourcing of specific data services. To be authorized to work with the Trimble software suite, the individual must have a background in civil engineering, construction management, and/or software engineering and must have extensive knowledge of Civil CAD programs and/or Trimble Business Center.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The 3D Data and Software Support Specialist builds 3D models for civil construction projects that utilize GPS machine control hardware and software. They are responsible for ensuring that the models are accurate and complete, as this is essential for the success of machine control technology
Collection and management of client data for use in data prep services
Provide quotes to clients for 3D data prep services
Prepare surface models for use with construction stakeout and machine guidance systems
Drive revenue by providing data prep services for customers
Create and provide training and materials for qualified customers on software provided by SITECH Intermountain
Some travel is required
Required Qualifications:
Have excellent safety record
Experience with Trimble Business Center
Strong problem-solving aptitude
Self-starter and detail oriented
Experience with civil construction workflows
Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word and Excel
Experience with earthwork takeoff procedures
Excellent computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
AutoCAD Civil 3D
Bentley
Photogrammetry software
Earthwork takeoff software
Good understanding of proper survey practice
