Job Title Senior Data Visualization Developer Summary of the role: Navitaire, an Amadeus company, is constantly trying to evolve the way the world thinks about travel. With more than 50 customers worldwide, including many of the world's most successful hybrid and low-cost airlines, Navitaire offers a unique opportunity to make a large impact on the world of travel. As a data visualization developer you will design, develop, test, optimize, and maintain business intelligence integrations for airlines around the world. This is a hybrid position and would require you to be in the local office 2-3 days a week. Responsibilities: * Collaborate with internal and third-party data scientists, data analysts, data engineers, business analysts, and product management to produce sophisticated yet meaningful data presentations * Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards using best practices * Embed Power BI reports into React frontend applications * Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration * Design and implement APIs to support data retrieval and manipulation * Optimize performance of BI solutions * Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BI reports and data integration * Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in BI and frontend technologies * Mentor others Qualifications: * Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) * Proficiency in frontend web technologies, (React, Angular, Node.js) * Proven experience with Power BI, including report creation and embedding * Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git) * Knowledge of the data visualization principles including usage of design, color theory, chart types and their applications, different measurement types, accessibility, etc. * Experience with API development and integration * Solid understanding of data modeling and database design * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Strong communication and collaboration skills * Inclined to act with attention to detail and commitment to quality and most of all a team player * Proficiencies in: * SQL * At least one scripting language, preferably Python * Visualization libraries like Seaborn, Matplotlib, D3.js, etc. * Agile development, preferably Scrum * Public cloud platforms (Azure preferred)

Bonus Qualifications * Possess at least one of the following: * Microsoft Certification Power Platform Developer (PL-400) or (PL-300) * Microsoft Certification Enterprise Data Analyst (DP-500) * Azure DevOps experience * Experience working with globally distributed teams * Skills in other data viz/BI tools like Tableau, Looker, etc. * Worked with time series DBs, telemetry data, and data streaming. (e.g. Apache Kafka, Splunk, Databricks, Apache Airflow)
