Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for accurate automated and manual input of item, product group, and rule-level pricing, promotion, and event data.

  • Reference company tools and data to analyze margin erosion or GP decline.

  • Works directly with internal business clients, IT team, and software supplier to capture business processes and data requirements and provide solutions to existing workflow opportunities.

  • Utilizes test plans and associated documents to implement changes necessary for continual improvement and maximum utilization of merchandising systems. Serves as change agent to ensure continual enhancements are tested and implemented appropriately.

  • Responsible for the system maintenance including the regular upkeep of item level information and deletions of obsolete data. Along with maintaining and assigning NITROSS buttons and templates, by adding, deleting, and clearing out unnecessary button and template assignments.

  • Acts as a Price Book software subject matter expert working directly with the software supplier to resolve system issues.

  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to create processes, SOPs, documentation, and training that result in store associate efficiencies and improved customer-facing price accuracy.

  • Works in partnership with Category Managers to verify merchandise and vendor authorizations and conducts monthly reviews to prepare upcoming pricing changes and adjustments. Works closely with accounting and category management to evaluate and resolve and process vendor invoices with discrepancies.

  • Triage helpdesk tickets related to pricing opportunities and communicates to stakeholders problem resolution status (category management, store operations, accounting, etc.). Provide weekend store support in rotation with the team.

  • Set up new stores/remodels/rebrands. Along with facilitating communication to gather all correct store information in a timely manner. Act as support the week of the store opening to field teams. Also, set up and remove markdowns for remodels or store closures.

  • Support Marketing promotional goals by setting up promos and importing/exporting reports. Along with supporting the company employee discount program.

Qualifications: Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred

Qualifications: Experience

  • Experience in retail or marketing, strongly preferred.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • A strong internal and external customer focus

  • The capacity to pay close attention to detail

  • Practice operating independently without the need for continuous oversight or direction

  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and balance competing needs
