Aston Carter Materials Planner in Salt Lake City, Utah

Materials Planner

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the supply of direct material to guarantee the coverage of customer orders in accordance with the established production plan, as well as expedite the materials based on changes in demand.

  • Place POs, track confirmation, due dates, adherence, exceptions, subcontract, MRBR, Overdue invoices and OTD of tactical buyers.

  • Support PFEP within the spend by coordinating changes of parameters MOQ, SS, LT, stock nonstock in line with buyer checklist.

  • Monitor inventory turns and drive corrective actions.

  • Ensure that all air freight is authorized.

  • Analysis of obsolete materials.

  • Report of shortages versus RLD/ ROS/ CUSTOMER SERVICE.

  • Monitoring supplier capacity. Lead weekly supplier calls with critical suppliers.

  • Conduct supplier delivery meetings with strategic team to drive OTD improvements and LT reduction.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years in material planning process, demand forecasting and, inventory management.

  • Experience in dealing with international suppliers preferred.

  • Advanced transactions and reports in SAP preferred.

  • Desirable APICS CPIM.

  • Experience with lean six sigma and continuous improvement projects preferred.

  • Advanced excel.

  • Experience in project-based manufacturing environment.

Pay: $33 - $35

Duration: 6 month contract (chance of extension or conversion)
