University of Utah Lab Specialist - Pathology in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah
JOB SUMMARYPerforms advanced laboratory techniques and procedures in a research laboratory. May provide veterinary technical support for animal model studies. Research in Bettini Lab is focused on T cell mediated autoimmune diabetes (Type 1 Diabetes).The Lab Specialist will assist in maintaining the laboratory under the guidance and supervision of the Principle Investigator, as well as, assist with basic research experiments including molecular biology, tissue culture and tissue processing.A major component of this position will include maintenance, breeding, and genotyping of experimental mice. The ideal applicant should be self-motivated and have good record keeping and time management skills.
