Intern – Credit Risk Analyst

2025 Paid Summer Intern

May thru mid-August

This internship is not eligible for relocation assistance. Local candidates preferred.

The intern will work on or be exposed to the following:

  • Query and validate data from various sources in the Bancorporation’s data environment

  • Use analytic techniques to assess risk in credit portfolios

  • Assist in comparing the credit portfolio to that of peer banks

  • Maintain framework used to manage credit risk (evaluate credit metrics)

  • Various clean-up/data projects

    Qualifications:

  • Currently working on a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science or a related degree

  • Exposure to statistical programming software (SAS, R, Python)

  • Experience working with large data sets

  • Basic understanding of SQL

  • Interest in portfolio risk management and statistical analysis

  • Requires strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Detail oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to make sound decisions and be inquisitive – not afraid to ask questions or make recommendations.

  • Working knowledge of computer software programs including spreadsheets, word processing, etc.
