MYRIAD GENETICS, INC. Insurance Authorization Manager in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

The Preauthorization team at Myriad Genetics is hiring for an Insurance Authorization Manager. This is a US based remote position. The position requires day time hours Monday-Friday. Responsibilities Each employee's specific job responsibilities are uniquely defined by their individual training plan and assigned duties, but are generally defined as follows: * Responsible for day to day supervision of Authorization Supervisors and preserve the accuracy and integrity of insurance database records * Assist and support with insurance-related matters for Customer Service, Billing and Managed Care * Maintaining and monitoring compliance of direct reports with all departmental policies * Responsible for analyzing and developing insurance process improvements as needed * Responsible for Medicaid payor-related activities supporting Customer Service, Billing and Managed Care * Initiate and maintain external insurance-related website logins for Customer Service and Billing personnel * Hire, develop and train qualified employees * Perform annual performance reviews of direct reports and take appropriate promotion or corrective action related to staff performance * Participate in the Quality Assurance plan * Complies with applicable CLIA and HIPAA regulations Qualifications * High School Diploma required, Bachelors Degree preferred * 3+ years experience managing a team required * Minimum 2 years experience in preauthorization, RCM, medical insurance or reimbursement billing preferred * Must have excellent organizational skills, be highly dependable and work extremely well under pressure * Functional knowledge of database management and SQL #LI-MH1 #LI-Remote
