Job Summary and Qualifications

As an HVAC Maintenance Engineer II at our facility you will have the opportunity to be both an expert in your field and a caregiver, providing important services for our patients and staff. Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. You will joining an impressive team that prides themselves on keeping our hospital functioning well and looking its best. In this role:

· You will be responsible for the environmental control systems, building renovations, new construction, air exchanges, and pressure relationships for hospital and offsite facilities.

· You will oversee staff training on energy management, preventative maintenance, repairs, installation, and the general servicing of systems.

· You will maintain air handlers and HVAC distribution systems and assist with refrigeration tasks, repairs, and maintenance on generator sets and power-related equipment, along with fire pump and engine-driven equipment.

· You will install, replace, and modify HVAC equipment controls as necessary and evaluate the effectiveness of energy conservation projects.

· You will complete required project and service documentation and oversee Joint Commission compliance for specified areas.

· You will be responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on site, customer interface.

Qualifications:

· 2 years trade school in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or related experience.

· Current CFC/HCFC Refrigerant Processing certificate as a Universal Technician.

· 10+ years of experience in maintaining HVAC systems including controls, boilers, and pressure relationships between rooms in a hospital or large office building.

· Ability to teach, oversee, install, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment and able to represent the hospital on all construction jobs.

· Able to read blueprints accurately, trace electrical control systems, adjust valves, and use computerized energy management systems.

· Valid Utah State Driver’s license.

· American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
