Why you should join our team as the Head of Consumer Marketing:

As our future Head of Consumer Marketing, you'll play an integral leadership role in our Salt Lake City office. You will work to bolster our brand leadership position, rapidly build market share, and deliver DTC sales across multiple consumer and small business segments. We're looking for an experienced marketing leader like yourself, someone who has excelled in a brand-driven environment and has owned the development and optimization of omnichannel marketing initiatives, seamlessly integrating and enabling the retail channel.

You'll oversee all paid media, owned and earned channels to build brand equity and achieve robust customer acquisition. Additionally, you'll shape our web strategy to ensure a smooth transition from audience consideration to conversion. Your responsibilities will encompass managing a diverse team of both in-house staff and external agency partners, necessitating a strategic and proactive approach to foster a cohesive, cross-functional team dynamic.

In this role, you will:

  • Be a customer-first thinker; understand and continually enhance the profiles of multiple audience segments which leads you to defining and optimizing messaging and digital engagement strategies.

  • Take ownership of planning, execution, and analysis of all consumer marketing channels and initiatives, including SEO/SEM, Paid & Organic Social, Affiliate and Influencer Marketing, and other traffic-building channels.

  • Drive performance media strategy, directing spend of media budget and ensuring forecasting & delivery of key performance metrics.

  • Own and optimize the role of customer-facing digital properties including the .com and marketing automation (Marketo experience a plus), while integrating with our excellent in-house sales teams.

  • Lead web content strategy to increase brand affinity, grow consideration and optimize conversion rates.

  • Collaborate with internal and contract data and analytics teams, as well as internal tech and applications teams, devising an effective consumer marketing tech stack to ensure data needs are met and have integrity.

  • Monitor the effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives, and bring experience in attribution modeling software (Amplitude, Segment, others).

  • Collaborate on cross-channel GTM strategies to support integrated campaigns, new product launches, and growth initiatives in partnership with other US Consumer Marketing members.

  • Partnering with field teams to support customers' joint business planning by developing Shopper Marketing and Experience initiatives that integrate equity and customer strategy as key enablers of the holistic plan

  • Stay on top of digital trends and best practices to continually evolve our customer experience into the future.

  • Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets.

  • Work in office with the team for three days each week, and remotely two days each week.

    In this role, you'll need:

  • 10+ years related experience with deep expertise leveraging a portfolio of marketing channels and tactics to run effective always-on media and cross-channel campaigns

  • Cultural leadership in an organization that values speed and creativity, while enabling a good work-life balance

  • Proven ability to manage at minimum 8-figure budgets and drive efficient growth working in-house at a high-growth consumer brand

  • Understanding of vendors, tools, systems, and tactics across the evolving marketing landscape: Advertising/Media, Personalization/Targeting/Audience Building, Measurement/Attribution

  • Data-driven decision-making, able to triangulate across different datasets and varying degrees of data completeness to develop models and inform strategies

  • Experience in growing and developing a team

  • Excellent collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills with ability to set a vision and drive followership

  • Ability to lead through ambiguity and dig into the details to solve, with a bias to action while keeping focus on operational discipline and desired/measurable results

    Our employee benefits:

    This position is based in our Cottonwood Heights, UT corporate office. You will enjoy a flexible work schedule of 3 days in office and 2 days from home per week (details will be provided during the interview process).

    We offer a competitive salary depending on experience, plus a company profit-sharing bonus every 6 months.
