AMERICAN CYBER SYSTEMS INC Electromechanical Technician in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Our North American In Process & Environmental group is searching for an experienced Electromechanical Technician to support our location in Salt Lake City, UT. The successful candidate will be able to install, troubleshoot and repair electrical and/or electrical/mechanical components under general supervision.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Under the general supervision, installs electrical and/or electrical-mechanical components, routes and terminates wiring.

  2. Installs electrical components and routes wiring working from detailed assembly drawings and specifications.

  3. Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, solders, cements or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.

  4. Mounts assembled components, such as power supplies, resistors, transistors, capacitors and integrated circuits on panel.

  5. Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs and switches to assemblies.

  6. Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical characteristics.

  7. May connect component lead wires to printed circuit or route and connect wires between individual components, leads and other components, connectors, terminals and contact points.

Skills/Experience Required:

  1. Typically requires HS diploma, certification from a technical school or equivalent experience.

  2. Requires general electrical assembly experience and knowledge of electrical and related mechanical principles, assembly applications and sequences; knowledge of electrical drawings/schematics, shop practices and shop mathematics beneficial.

  3. Must be able to read and understand schematics/blueprints.

  4. Must be able to solder, wire, crimp, splice and wrap wires.
