University of Utah Data Quality Control Analyst in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah
As part of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, the Utah Transportation and Public Safety - Crash Data Initiative (UTAPS-CDI) unifies the management of motor-vehicle crash records and integration of elements of the traffic records system in Utah, promoting roadway safety. UTAPS-CDI is a cooperative effort between the University of Utah, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) and the Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS).The Data Quality Control Analyst will contribute to ensuring the accuracy and fidelity of crash records maintained by the UTAPS-CDI prior to it being stored for final use by project partners or clients. In that support role, the Data Quality Control Analyst will perform duties such as daily verification of outputs, troubleshooting, and application of quality control processes in coordination with the UTAPS-CDI team. Quality control involves the use of computer scripts, spreadsheets, statistical analysis, and web-based applications to verify data acceptability and accuracy of data.The Data Quality Control Analyst will maintain continuous communication with the program Data Architect, Database Administrator, and the Data Warehouse Analyst, and it is expected to interact with state agencies, researchers, and university students. Special projects will be assigned to the Data Quality Control Analyst as needed.
