The Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (USDB) invites you to consider an employment opportunity with our school.  We are looking for a meticulous and responsible candidate to fill a part-time Custodian position working in Salt Lake City. Working Schedule: Monday - Friday 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Principal Duties:

• maintain buildings and facilities in a clean and orderly condition
• remove snow from sidewalks,doorways,etc. as needed
• clean and maintain floors,dust,wax and polish furniture,wash windows,mirrors and other glass or plastic items
• empty trash and garbage
• clean walls and bathrooms,etc.
• clean and disinfect areas and equipment
• set up and arrange tables and chairs
• repair,clean,adjust and/or performs preventive maintenance on equipment,tools,machinery,etc.
• and perform other duties as assigned.
• May be required to clean at multiple facilities daily.

The Ideal Candidate The model candidate for this position is someone who has experience:

• Performing maintenance knowledge of housekeeping practices.
• Knowledge of housekeeping practices,techniques and procedures.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Use cleaning agents,products and equipment.
• Maintain and/or repair tools and equipment.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check contingent upon employment.
