As a CT Tech,you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality CT procedures,ensuring patient safety,and contributing to the diagnostic capabilities of the hospital. *Responsibilities *
Perform high-quality CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes,employing ingenuity,initiative,and independent judgment to ensure accurate and precise imaging.
Prepare patients for examinations,verifying proper patient identification and order information,while maintaining patient comfort and providing necessary education as required.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and exhibit competence in anatomical positioning techniques,delivering images of exceptional quality per department protocols.
Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols,infection control,and sterile techniques to promote a safe and secure healthcare environment for both patients and staff.
Administer oral barium products or intravenous contrast materials to patients as ordered by the physician,with proper supervision,and understanding of protocols related to contrast administration.
Qualifications
Must hold the designation of RRT registered technologist,showcasing the required expertise and training in CT procedures.
Possess a current Utah State licensure as a CT Tech,meeting the state's regulatory requirements for practicing in this role.
Certification in basic life support (BLS) for healthcare providers,demonstrating preparedness for emergency situations and patient care.
Minimum of one year of experience in CT scanning,showcasing a solid foundation of skills and knowledge in the field.
Exceptional manual dexterity to handle delicate equipment and ensure precise patient positioning during examinations.
Comfortable standing for extended periods,as this position involves regular patient interaction and procedural responsibilities
*Pay *
$57.00 - $64.00 Per Hour
*Schedule *
4x10 hour shifts| Variable start times from 9:00am,10:00am,11:00am or 12:30pm
Including some weekends.
The schedule is out month or two in advance.
