Intermountain Health Controls Equipment Systems Specialist in Salt Lake City, Utah
Job Description:
The Equipment Systems Specialist is responsible to maintain and/or repair the specialty system and controls within the facility (e.g., chillers, HVAC, and fire alarm systems, etc.) This position also supervises and inspects the work performed by the team and contract service providers, assuring that work is done properly and within a reasonable time frame. Coordinates with other trades to complete projects.
Mon-Fri 7 AM to 3:30 PM
* Must have knowledge about: chillers, air handlers, cooling towers or heating systems.*
Job Essentials
Maintains and distributes work orders, invoices and inventories, etc. as needed based upon priority and as directed by the department Manager.
Accountable for preventative and routine maintenance on facility equipment / systems to ensure the following:
optimal operating efficiency
safety
hospital regulatory agencies requirements are met
Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of policies and procedures relative to the department, Federal, State, Local, Joint Commission and Intermountain Healthcare.
Communicates effectively with team members, management and clinical staff to ensure successful repair outcomes and good customer relations.
May be assigned to participate in committees and sub-committees as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of a trade school or four years experience in hospital maintenance, security, automation and control fields
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electronic, mechanical and pneumatic equipment
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
Demonstrated ability to provide clear direction to staff regarding assignments, policies and deadlines, etc.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$33.04 - $50.27
