The Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LCSW or CMHC) in this position supervises the daily activities of the Utah Crisis Line, Warm Line, Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT), and Dispatchers by coordinating ongoing education, monitoring quality control and safety processes, hiring and training of new staff, evaluating performance, and scheduling work shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the delivery of patient care and/or customer service, ensuring the timely resolution of concerns.

  • Supervises all functions of the department as it relates to staff and operations.

  • Assist with the planning, implementation, measurement, and attainment of the department goal and objectives.

  • Analyzes and determines appropriate staffing while ensuring efficiency and maximizing resources.

  • Supervises the daily operations of the department including interviewing and hiring staff, assigning work, evaluating performance, training, and planning work schedules.

  • Monitors, orders, and maintains stock of department supplies and equipment.

  • Orients and trains staff in policies and procedures.

  • May perform all duties of the department as required.

  • May assist in budget preparation.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.

  • Demonstrated organizational, human relations and effective communication skills.

  • Ability to orchestrate multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required

  • Three years of experience in a related area, or equivalency, with one of those years in a supervisory capacity.

  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card through American Heart Association, or obtain within one month of hire.

  • Experience with and/or understanding of CrisisLine clinical and operational functions or other call/contact center operational functions, providing feedback and training, conducting chart audits, professional in-person and written communication with internal and external stakeholders, and proficient working with technology.

Licenses Required

  • One of the following

  • Current license to practice as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the State of Utah.

  • Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (L.C.S.W.) certificate for clinical practice in the State of Utah.

  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card through American Heart Association or obtain within one month of hire.

Qualifications (Preferred)

This position will be an administrative supervisory role for the Huntsman Mental Health Institute Crisis and Diversion Services program to be filled by a licensed clinician. The primary purpose of this role is to provide administrative and clinical supervisory support to ensure consistency in patient care, policies and procedures, and workplace culture.
