Critter Control Operations, Inc. Assistant Region Manager in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Critter Control Operations is seeking a motivated and dynamic Assistant Region Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in expanding our customer base and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for wildlife management, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales. The Assistant Region Manager will support the Region Manager in overseeing Wildlife Operations within their assigned region.

Responsibilities

Critter Control Operations (CCO) is a leading provider of wildlife management services. We specialize in wildlife removal, exclusion, and damage repair for residential and commercial properties. Our mission is to provide safe, effective, and responsible solutions to nuisance wildlife and pest problems.

What does a day in the life look like?

- - Provide exceptional customer service and promptly address customer issues and concerns.

 

- - Assist in overseeing District Management staff and monitoring their performance.

 

- - Support the man agement of employees at all levels, including managers, field technicians, salespeople, and office staff.

 

- - Ensure efficient route management and drive growth within company guidelines.

 

- - Facilitate the development of current management staff and field personnel through training and mentorship.

 

- - Ensure the timely completion and submission of all necessary paperwork and documentation.

 

- - Assist in recruiting and hiring new talent to enhance the team.

 

- - Contribute to the growth of one-time and recurring revenue streams.

 

- - Aid in continuously improving profit margins.

 

- - Train employees in wildlife biology, entomology, administration, company policies and procedures, fleet and equipment maintenance, time management, ethical business practices, and customer satisfaction.

 

- - Ensure compliance with all company policies and applicable state and federal laws (e.g., Dept. of Agriculture, Dept. of Natural Resources, OSHA, EPA, division of Wage and Hour).

 

- - Ensure the company maintains all necessary licenses, including business and pest control licenses.

 

- - Reduce allowances and cancellations by ensuring timely and professional service to all customers on a monthly basis.

 

- - Be available and on-call to management or employees during normal working hours.

 

 

Qualifications

What do you need to be successful?

- - High school diploma or equivalent; four-year degree preferred (e.g., business & management, wildlife management, natural sciences, forestry).

 

- - Valid drivers license.

 

- - Proven experience in leadership or outside sales manegement, preferably in a related field (pest control, roofing, construction, route-based businesses)

 

- - Proficiency in using several types of software and applications; experience with Salesforce is plus.

 

What does the work environment look like?

 

We go where the wildlife goes! Candidates must be physically capable of safely performing the following job duties with

or without reasonable accommodation.

- - Frequent sitting and using a computer.

 

- - Must be able to drive to various locations, often covering large territories.

 

- - Frequent walking, standing, and moving through diverse types of terrain, including uneven ground, stairs, roofs, and sometimes slippery or muddy areas.

 

- - Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, snow, etc.).

 

- - Must have the ability to climb stairs and ladders safely.

 

- - Must be able to crouch, kneel, bend, and stretch frequently.

 

- - Capability to carry and use equipment necessary for inspections and minor control measures (Traps, ladders, inspection tools, etc).

 

- - Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.

 

- - Clear verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
