Job Summary

The David Eccles School of Business is seeking a talented, energetic professional as an Admissions & Recruiting Coordinator for the Full-Time MBA program to achieve annual enrollment goals and support students from acceptance to graduation. Admissions recruitment, office management, program and event coordination, outreach, and maintaining records are all essential functions of this position. The position is student and external-facing, requiring extensive interaction with prospective and current students, alumni, faculty, vendors, and other school and university staff. This person must have strong communication and project management skills, have a high-quality service orientation, be an effective team player, and excellent organizer to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Admissions & Student Services Responsibilities:

  • Finalize prospective student applications and coordinate admissions decisions and scholarship offers.

  • Coordinate and present onboarding and orientation of newly admitted students. This includes training on student platforms, academic program layouts, student life, and student policies and regulations.

  • Process student enrollment and verify documentation

  • Plan and implement the Pre- MBA orientation

  • Academics advising with a career focus as needed for current students

  • Prepare records and maintain files on activities relating to degree requirements and graduation.

  • Plan and implement activities and special events designed to enhance the Full-Time MBA community, including student and networking events and graduation.

  • Connection with MBA students entering the program that will facilitate assigning current student mentors and MBA student teams

Recruiting Responsibilities:

  • Successfully manage applicant pool, utilizing campus administrative software, CRMs, and consistent strategic communication including in-person appointments, outbound and inbound phone calls, Zoom meetings, texts, and e-mail. Significant interpersonal communication with prospective students (domestic and global) is critical to encourage applications for admissions and, ultimately, enrollment.

  • Answer phones and respond with immediacy to initial prospect inquiries

  • Process student applications, including communication, setting up interviews, and managing all incoming supporting documents

  • Advise prospective students on the admissions process and financial aid information.

  • Prepare records and maintain files on activities relating to recruiting and admissions on the platform Salesforce(previous system experience preferred, not required)

  • Provide ongoing communication to prospective students and applicants throughout the candidate cultivation and application process (cultivation, application, interview, admission offer and acceptance)

  • Plan and implement activities and special events designed to enhance Full-Time MBA enrollment, including Interview Days, Information Sessions, and recruiting fair

  • Maintain accurate and detailed event records

  • Significant interaction with in-house marketing to update recruiting collateral and create new content

  • Accurately represent the Full-Time MBA program and the university

  • Work with/across multiple departments, including financial aid, graduate admissions, veteran affairs, and international student services

  • Support in office operations, including faculty support, student services, and office guest needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years’ related experience, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).

Preferences

  • Two-plus years of professional experience; strong familiarity with current trends in higher education and business education

  • Competitive drive, good work ethic, and time management

  • Experience in managing/supporting recruitment programs at a university, college, or company; knowledge of general management curriculum, including familiarity with other institutions’ courses and programs

  • Work across cultures, collaborate, and interact effectively and diplomatically with persons at all levels of the organization

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation and project management skills

  • Personal computer proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and willingness to learn new programs
