University of Utah Administrative Program Coordinator in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

The Center for Health Ethics, Arts and Humanities Program Coordinator will oversee a variety of programs and activities serving the University of Utah Health Sciences campus and the greater University of Utah. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized person who is interested in the planning and execution of events and activities in service of the Centers mission: to educate health professionals in bioethics, clinical ethics, and health humanities, while nurturing empathy and humanitarian values; to provide consultations on ethical issues related to patient care and healthcare research and to provide professional service to the University of Utah, Utah, the Mountain West, and nation. The Center for Health Ethics, Arts and Humanities prepares tomorrows healers to act with compassion and justice.The coordinator will be a main point of contact and central resource for our diverse programming in ethics, arts, and humanities as they relate to healthcare, health education, and health research, serving people both on campus and in the wider community. As part of a larger Health Sciences team beyond the Center, the Coordinator must become familiar with and knowledgeable about School, College, and University processes. The Coordinator must be able to work independently as well as effectively with diverse groups and possess strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills. General duties include facilitating communication among Center faculty, planning and organizing activities and events, on-campus and off-campus outreach, information gathering and analysis, and assisting other staff with existing programs.
